Facebook can be considered a community. I was thinking what could be said about it, taking into account that it is indeed a community. A very large and diverse one. It could probably even be considered the largest community in the world to some. One that is always changing and inviting new members to join in that community. This website can be such an important tool and resource to some. So why do we take for granted, something that has a such a large impact on the daily lives of so many North Americans?
It is probably because of how our generation grew up in the age of technology, where so much has happened and so many revolutionary new electronic devices and programs have been invented that the importance of a website like this one, which plays a major role in the lives of most North American teenagers and young adults, is often overlooked.
I can't agree with you more, Facebook is probably one of the greatest communication tools ever made. I have connected with so many people on this website that I would never have been able to before. It is good for me because these people live in different places all over the world so when I go traveling, I will have contacts everywhere. It has also kept me and all of my good friends from school really close.All in all a great tool to bring people together or get a message across.
